Menu to choose display?

Hello,

I would like to make somekind of new menu, when it's time to log in that you can choose would you like to start Fedora on TwinView (tv+lcd) or just only with one display (lcd).
Is that possible?

Reason why I like to do that is when I'm using TwinView as a default it slows down Fedora and seems like it uses whole memory (1GB)!
Is this bug (KDE) or is it so that TwinView uses so much resurs that it slows down whole system?
AMD 2400XP
1GB memory

Thanks!
