I encoded a DVD with mencoder using the xvid codec. The video plays fine in linux but when i play it in Win XP using Windows media player, it can't play. It says theirs no codec. The dvd's ive ripped with transcode using the xvid codec do play in windows media player. Does anyone have this same problem? and does anyone have a fix?

Yeah most of the stuff I rip wont play in Media Player. I can't stand that program anyway. I use VLC and everything I make in mencoder works just fine in VLC.
