Media Browser with Hyperlinks? Is it possible?
Hello all.
You guys have always helped me out with my crazy Linux problems, and I am hoping this is no different. I am sure there is a way of doing what I want, I am just not bright enough to see it I think...
So, with that in mind this is what I would like to get set up.
I use konqueror for file browsing, mplayer for video playing and xmms for audio files. I have my old FC3 box sitting in a closet connected to my router, that holds most of my media files. What I want to be able to do is have a database type of application that will allow me to browse my media files, and then stream(or download them) to be viewed at their present location, either in my room, the livingroom, etc.
I am connecting to the remote machines via ssh, and the entire network is fedora based. Not sure if any of this makes sense, but I can't imagine I am the first one that has wanted to do this, so I am assuming there is an answer - I am just buggered trying to find it. Any help in it's solution, or even pointing me in the right direction would be so appreciated.
Thanks for everyone's help here, you all have made my experience with Linux a plesent one.
Cheers
Kevin
