mdk9 update

Hi all!
Every time I try to make the mandrake update it fails :-(
It says "There was an unrecoverable error while updating packages information." It don't give me a chance to choose a server to update from. Anyway it would crash.

How do I update mandrake installation?
Thanks a lot guys!

Go into Mandrake Control Center / Software Management / Software Sources Management.
Highlight "update_source" and click on edit. You can enter the data there.

Thank you Kamikaze_Gerbil !!
Do you know a good available server to download mdk9 updates? Those I tried return timeout. So when I get a good server and download ~ 120Mb updates it says: "incompatibility found" and abort installation (120Mb downloaded for nothing )

Thank you again!

Thank you Kamikaze_Gerbil

this ftp is fast and look be fine at mozilla.
But when I set it on update source the system returns the meesage:
Quote:
"Please wait... Updating medium..."
"Unable to update medium; it will be automatically disabled"
Should I download the dir (ftp://mirrors.secsup.org/pub/linux/m...dates/9.0/RPMS) to a local drive and set the update path to it?

thank you!

Double check all your spelling.

Thank you !
What means ../base/hdlist.cz ?
When I try to update the sources from the 3 cds of mdk 9 (/mnt/cdom/Mandrake/RPMSx) it take long time or it says
Quote:
"Unable to update medium; it will be automatically disabled"
even I set "../base/hdlist.cz" at "Relative path to synthesis/hdlist" space

thank you again!
