md raid on install

I am reinstalling my system due to a failed distro upgrade, and ubiquity does not recognize my md-raid sets. I have my /home on one such set. should I just let it put a new home on root and change it manually later, or is there a way to do it right away?

If your distro does not support md setup in the install process, that would be what you have to do.

Actually, it depends on what kind of array it is. If it's raid-1 (mirror), you can simply mount one of the drives of the array, as it has all the data, and rebuild the array after installation. If it is raid-0, you are out of luck.

it was raid5. I managed to recreate them without fuzz using mdadm --assume-clean
