MBR bad?

I woke up early Fri morning to buy me a 160 Gig Harddrive for mad cheap. As luck would have it, after I installed it, it would boot up and tell me no OS found. After messing around with it, I disconnected and booted like normal from my scsi drive. Still I get the same error. It's been a while since I have had to troubleshoot something like this. I think it's the MBR that has gone bad or corrupted. Agree? If so, how can I go about fixing it? Thanks.

We need a bit more info please:

1. How is your BIOS setup to boot, check that there is nothing in the CDROM/Floppy trying to boot up that is messing with your boot sequence.

2. What distro, what boot loader? Can you still boot from CD (say, a live distro for example)?

Cool
