May I create my own live cd without the Debian Linux?
Hello people,
I have seen that almost Linux Live cd are based on Debian, like Knoppix or DemoLinux. My doubt is: why? For example, if I decide to use a Red Hat or Slackware (or Mandrake) distribution to create my own live cd, may have any problem? |
bootable CD
I created a bootable CD to use as a rescue system. I built it based on SuSE 7.2. It took me about two days to work my way through all of the problems and get a working rescue system but none of my problems had anything to do with using SuSE as a base.

no sure you can use other dist or even create your own LFS you can start from a floppy image and add files to it.

I created a bootable Live CD based on Mandrake Linux but the techniques should work for Redhat as well.
