Matlab 6 error in Ubuntu

Getting an odd error message when I try and open a saved workspace, it says "File does not exist" even though it does (yup, I did an ls -s).

I can open m-files by typing open foo.m in the workspace, but I can't open them using the pull down bar either.

Any suggestions?
