many gksu applications crashing..

hii,i am using ubuntu late whenevr i try 2 open some applications frm system>administration like login window,synaptic,software sources,hardware testing tey all crash..all tese probably use gksu..plz help..

yes with sudo synaptic opens.but then why is it crashing when opened from system>administration.what is the command for opening software sources and login window?
