mandriva 2006/thunderbird/kmail/kpilot and treo 650
Just got a Treo 650 smartphone.
I'm running mandriva 2006 (with kde 3.5). I've managed to get the treo 650 "syncing" with kpilot (didn't work out of the box, had to install the development packages associated kde 3.5 too make it work).
My problem is that as far as I can tell (stuff I've read), kpilot works OK with kmail, but if possible I'd like to make it use thunderbird for syncing addressbook etc. Or possibly, as I've already installed kmail aswell as thunderbird, either be able to copy the address book from thunderbird to kmail, or sync both apps from the treo 650.
I did find a facility in kmail that said about copying mail messages and directory structure from thunderbird to kmail, but when I tried that, it didn't work as expected i.e. it copied the directory structure, and what appeared to be messages (which subsequently turned out to be garbled nonsense) and didn't do anything with the address book at all!
Does anyone know how I might achieve some of this (preferably be able to use thunderbird with kpilot, but if thats out of the question, then either copy the thunderbird addressbook to kmail)??
TFM
regards
John
