Hi

I just checked out KMouth which uses festival on Mandriva 2006 Powerpack. But it doesn't work. I started kmouth from a terminal and the following error is reported.

kmouth: EST_Viterbi: state too big (

kmouth:

I tried festival alone and a similar state too big error is given.

EST_Viterbi: state too big (-1)
EST_Viterbi: state too big (-1)
Segmentation fault


What can be the problem? Can anyone help me?

Hey my friend i am a linux user too. the problem is festival. It is a broken version i'm afraid. You must install 2005 LE festival rpm in order to be ok. Remember that kmouth and kttsd are only interfaces to tts programs like festival. so i suggest you to switch back to mandriva 2005 le because it is damn stable in games and multimedia (nvidia users know why 2006 sucks - it's about services like kat and others that "make noise"). actually not all new things are good. I am a mandrake user for at least 4 years. The golden distros are: 8.2, 9.2, 10.2(Mandriva LE). I still wait the true MANDRIVA distro to apear (next year) and the day that i will say i'm a mandriva user not a mandrake user good luck
