Mandrake 9.1 on Dell 600m
 

Hello all,

I installed Mdk 9.1 on Dell 600m (RH 9 doesn't let me login - have another post here). The booting is fine but after I login, apparently the machine is very slow. Even opening xterm takes a long time. I even switched ACPI on but no luck. Otherwise, things look ok with the machine.

Any suggestions please....

Got an nVidia card? Install the official drivers if so.

Hi Mike,

It has ATI Radeon 9000. I tried the driver that comes with Mdk 9.1 for that card and also VESA.

RH 9 - Tried and it doesn't let me login. It comes back to the login screen when I try to login; both in text and graphical login. This same prob exists on my HPzt1195 on RH 9 (I have another thread for it).

Any clues please....
