Mandrake 9.1
i got bored today so i downloaded Mandrake 9.1 and installed it...its the weirdest thing. I boot into KDE/Gnome/you name it and its like it didnt generate menus of the apps i have installed. Everything is obviously installed (see screenshot) but they just dont show up...wtf?

You know, I got that only sometimes when I upgraded to 3.1 using URPMI in Mandrake 9.0
But then 10 mins later, it was all there...off and on... Now I've installed 9.1 and all is good. Have you tried going into Menudrake? (In the mandrake control center) Check what's in there ... |
IIRC, mandrake uses a menu system similar to Debian's. Perhaps it's not installed/updated?
|
it was a fresh install so i can only assume it wasnt installed...what is the name of the package then?
|
menu?
|
its the dumbest thing ever. It doesnt actually generate the menu at all until i manually ran menudrake...
that's a pretty serious bug (unless its just for me heh) for the newbies out there. |
That did not happen to me.
