Mandrake 8.2 install stall!

Hi all!
With some help from this handy forum I managed to install my new Mandrake 8.2 system yesterday, but I'm still having a little trouble. I got through all the installation steps (finally), but when I go to boot up it stalls. I've tried in safe mode, and it seems to get stuck on 'starting pcmcia'. When I installed from a boot floppy it didn't work until I made the floppy with '\images\pcmcia' command (don't remember exactly!). How can I now bypass this step in startup?
Thanks again!
Jo

Yes, you can. Use
NOPCIMCIA=yes
This is a parameter you should pass to kernel.
