I would like to use linux for my work purposes. This would ussually be an easy task. However, I work outside of my office the majority of the time. Either at client sites or my home. I am in a situation where I need to have internet access from a modem, network card, and usb Alcatel speed touch. I can get these things work individually. However, I seem to run into issues when I have all of these services configured. I am not sure if the pppd daemon that allows for the use of the USB modem is compatible with the a regulare modem. Has anyone had a similar experience with this??

You seem to have your USB Speedtouch modem to work under MD 8.1. I don't !! I copied the mgmt.o file to /usr/share/speedtouch
but it just doesn't work. What else needs to be done ?
