i'm trying to install mandrake 7.2 on a compaq with an AMD k6 (2?) 350 mghz and about 150 megs of RAM, and i've tried on a few dif hard drives w/ the same result...i'd like to get it to run on a westernb digital 20gig

....it keeps ceasing to do nething on the screen that says
starting
"please wait..." in a blue box...it did a few things b4 it freeazes up w/ scsi stuff...

when i press alt+f4 the last thing it says on the bottom is about mounting (ext2) filesytem, i'm assuming its getting screwed up on w/e ever happens after that...has neone had this problem or no how to fix it?
...i succesfully installed it on a worse machine...but when i finished installing it i only had to megs of space left...so i gave up on using that machine to learn linux

Did you use a "Recommended" install? Or did you not get to that point yet?

nope...it didn't even get there...although ....i just installed 8.0 ....and that worked fine...so i guess the bug was fixed
