If you have less than 1GB ram, in the terminal type:
If you have 1GB or more, type:
This will give you the last stable version of 2.4. You might want to check Lilo to make sure it updated with the new kernel. Reboot, select the 18.104.22.168 kernel, you're good to go.
By the way, I install Wine, then WineSetupTK, then XWine. I then proceed to open XWine, go to Wine Configuration, Click WineSetupTK, and let it use the default choices. Then Wine works perfectly. Fresh install of Mandrake 10 that is. :-)
