Managing mailbox size

Hello.

I the following problem: how can I increase the size of a mailbox.

The mailserver is running slackware (unfortunately I don't know what version because uname doesn't give any useful information in this case), sendmail and popa3d.

quota, quota -g, quota -u don't return anything, and therefore I assume that there are no quotas set for the directories.

Probably the size of the mailboxes is set in sendmail.cf, but I can't figure out where, in order to modify it.

Can anyone help me? Thank you.
