Making my default browser to opera in KDE

Hi all,
I am using KDE 3.1, with Firefox, Konqueror and Opera as installed browser's and using Evolution which is a GNOME application as E-Mail client. Could any one tell me how to make Opera as default browser. As when I am clicking a link in some KDE application, it opens up in Konqueror and when I click a link in Evolution it opens up in Mozilla. I have tried changing file associations, but of no use. Even I have removed all the entries from the list other than Opera, but its not working. Any help in this will be greatly appreciated... I use a Red Hat workstation...

Thanks n Regards,
ANU

Changing the file associations only affects the behavior of programs which use the file associations. The main program using file associations is kfmclient. Many programs do not use the file associations. Instead they have a setting in their preferences or configuration file to select the default browser. So for the programs which do not follow your file preferences selection look through their configuration or preferences to see if you can find a setting for the default browser.

Control Center, KDE Componants, Componant Chooser, Web Browser, check the "in the following browser" box, then put the command to open Opera, or simply browse to the Opera executeable.

Hi Bruce,
Even I thought this, but in the Component Chooser list box there is no option of Web Browser.
