make your own bootable DVD

Can anyone tell me how to make my own bootable DVD in Linux? I learned how to use growisofs to make my own ISO images. What I'd like to do now is burn my ISO images to DVD disc AND make the DVD bootable.

Thanks in advance.

See if this page is of any help. It looks like they are creating a bootable ISO image with mkisofs and then burning that image to DVD with growisofs. This is an alternate way to use growisofs rather than using growisofs to actually create the ISO. This usage make growisofs a bit of a misnomer, but I have used it to burn DVDs. You can read about this usage of growisofs in its man page.

Good luck.
