make application default
 
hi my friends
i install acrobat reader on my fedora machine
i want it to be the default application for all pdf files
how can i do that

It depends which File Manager you are using. Usually, Gnome comes with Nautilus and KDE with Konqueror. If you are using Nautilus, there should be an option at the main menu to "Associate applications", take a look there. Konqueror should be similar, but I'm just guessing it :)

ok this about kde, what about gnome how to do this on it

in nautils select the file - then right click -selct "open with other application"

by default it will show the default applications list

if you want a specific application select "go there " and specify the application name and icon type
