Yes, I've looked it up here, and looked it up on Google.

The threads here never ended, the OP never responded to give results. Google contains lots of suggestions, including making sure the gcc "family" is installed, which in my case, it is.

I'm trying to compile Pidgin 2.3.1 with no luck. I get the following:
