make: [all-recursive] Error 1 HPLIP

Hello All.. I am trying to install HPLIP to get my HP 1410 printer working in Linux. I did a ./configure . Everything works fine. Then I do a make but I constantly get a make: [all-recursive] Error 1 .

In the help files after the make it says to /etc/init.d/hplip restart ...The file is not there!!!

Any help would be appreciated

You need to post more info. "Error 1" just means "something went wrong". You need to post the stuff above that.
