Mails not getting delivered to yahoo

Hi all,

I have "sendmail" configured on my server. The problem is that sometimes my mails addressed to yahoo (yahoo.com or yahoo.co.in or yahoo.uk etc.) dont get delivered.

maillog says:

relay=in2.mxauth.yahoo.com., dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred

relay=f.mx.mail.yahoo.com., dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred: Bad file descriptor

The problem is not consistent and mails addressed to yahoo do get delivered too...but most of the time I face this problem.

Can you please help me?

What version of sendmail are you running? I believe this was fixed in 8.13.2:

Quote:
If a server returns a 421 reply to the RSET command between message deliveries, do not attempt to deliver any more messages on that connection. This prevents bogus "Bad file number" recipient status. Problem noted by Allan E Johannesen of Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

weblink_dipti,

Have you reinstalled your server, since it was compromised / hacked / rootkited ?

Here: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d.php?t=562845

If not, please follow the advice you were given.

Yahoo is probably ignoring you because you are sending too much spam. Nothing is going to work properly for you, and you are a menace to the internet community until you address this problem.
