"Mailfilter" question

i am hoping that this is the correct forum.
anyway, i just downloaded the prog Mailfilter and i like it already. i am looking to provide a free service to friends and family that will allow me to access their popmail accounts and delete any spam that they want to get rid of. now the thing i would like to know is since my isp is providing me cable as a connection will that have any affect on my accessing an account that is provided via dial-up or dsl?? all that is required by the prog is the popserver, username and password.
any help is appriciated and thanked for in advance.

As far as I understand your question, no it doesn't matter how you access the e-mail accounts. The fact that you are using cable should make no difference. I use ADSL to access 3 old e-mail accounts, and they are all picked up fine.
