mail server basics
 

I want to set up a mail server for my family that checks all of our various webmail, ISP and work emails and then operates as an IMAP4 mail server that my family can log in to from other pcs in the house.

Unfortunatly I have no idea where to start and was hoping to get some hints on where to learn how to do this sort of thing.
