Unhappy Mail sending problem

Dear friends,

very recently I have a mail sending problem. When I push my "send!" button, the following message comes back:

An SMTP error occured. Command: RCPT. Answer: 550 RCPT TO <abc@mail.com> Relaying not allowed."

What could be the problem?

Sincerely yours,
Bernhard

Is there really no who could help me??

Why would this problem (not being able anymore to send mail) occur so suddenly?

I am using wvdial, if this was a necessary info.

Please, can somebody contact me?

well it seems fair enough, your mail server won't let you relay. it's a pretty basic step to prevent spammers from sending all sorts of junk. do you have an online account from this provider? If you change your "from" address to match the domain they are expecting you should be ok.

Smile One more question!

Hello acid_kewpie,
thanks for your reply!

You wrote:

How can I find out, what domain "they" are expecting? One more advice, please.

Yours,
Bernhard

well if you don't know what they are expecting then it sounds like you picked this server out of the air and are using it without their consent... which is why they have a simple check like that in place...

Will contact my provider

I did not pick any server "out of the air", as you put it. I used the same mail address for the "Antwort-Adresse/reply address" that is my mail address anyway....
OK, I see that I will contact my provider and ask them.
Yours,
Bernhard
