mail


some one help me unserstand mail.
I have sendmail configured for smpt.

how what do i use to acess mail?

what is the mail command? i wanna use that to check my mail.

i have no idea wtf im doign with this.

i want to use my comp as a server to send mail and i wanna use the return adress to my hotmail.

*the* mail command? nah.. there are dozens of mailbox clients you can use: mail, mailx, pine (my favourite), mutt and elm are all console programs, while some big poncy Xwindows clients can use proper mailboxes too, such as Sylpheed, an all singing all dancing outlook clone.

you probably will want to installl imap/pop3 access to the mail as well, and it's gernally easiest to set your return adress within your client, although it is possible with sendmail i think... it's a bit more involved
