I did this with some success (following some howto, which I don't seem to be able to find now). I was also able to install the flash 9 plugin in wine. It worked, but there were a few caveats:
- Runs a little slow - scrolling performance was bad.
- Ugly. Fonts are so on were not pretty.
- No integreation with your regular, native firefox (bookmarks, downloads)
On the plus side, because wine uses ALSA for audio, flash sites with sound could be used while using other apps, whereas OSS-native-flash hogs the soundcard.
I understand that flash 9/linux when it finally arrives will support ALSA, which is good news. The new Skype (in beta now, you can download it), also supports ALSA. With a little luck we can finally kill off OSS!
