Mac OS emulator

Back when I had an old Mac, I remember playing great games made by Ambrosia. Unfortunately, only Maelstrom is available for Linux. Does anyone know of an emulator that will let me play these games?
Thanks

Mac Emulators

A few things that I came across when wanting to run a Mac OS partition under windows.

Mac support need to be complied into the kernel. You need a valid, legal Mac ROM image to run the OS.

Below is the link for the guys who have really put in the hard yards.

http://www.maconlinux.org/

Don't know what their current level of development is, as it's been about a year since I wanted to run the Mac OS under Linux. Although Mac's multomedia apps ... hmmm, now you've got me thinking.

Anyway, good luck.

Regards

Mick

It looks like maconlinux requires a Mac with Linux to run it. I guess I'll have to keep hoping that the Mac fairy leaves me a Powerbook.

I would recommended ....

reading the Basilisk II website, to quote them ...

Basilisk II is a free, portable, Open Source 68k Mac emulator. It requires a copy of a 512K or 1MB Mac ROM and a copy of MacOS 7.x or 8.x to run.

So it still requires the Legal and right ROM to work.

Keep googling, you can bet somewhere out there, someone (or many someones ....) are developing it.

regards

Mick
