RHEL5 dose have issues with the third party repos !!!!!!
so install and CONFIGURE "yum-priorities" !!!!!
RF is incompatible with RHEL5 !!!
YOU MUST PROTECT THE BASE INSTALL !!! otherwise RF will REPLACE some of the BASE RHEL 5 install and RHN will be broken
John's right: I should have mentioned that! If you actually enable another repository (as opposed to just downloading rpms and installing them manually, fixing the dependencies yourself), then do
yum install yum-priorities
and then edit each repository file to add "priority=1" for Red Hat and "priority=2" for the next one, and so on.
