Lyx font path problem?

Hi,

I had to re-install Lyx after a recent disk crash, but now it won't display math symbols on the screen anymore.

I can see them displayed properly in the math panel, but if I click on the symbol for alpha for example, all I get is a capital "A" in the file.

If I call up xdvi from within Lyx, the math symbols are displayed properly, so I know those fonts exist.

If I run "lyx -dbg 512" with one of my files, the first few lines of the debug messages are:

Setting debug level to 512
Debugging `font' (Font handling)
Math font 19 not available.
Math font 18 not available.
Math font 20 not available.
Math font 22 not available.
Math font 23 not available.

How can I fix this?

I would be very grateful for any help or suggestions anyone might have. Many thanks in advance.
