I have used Mandrake, Red Hat and SuSE. Mandrake I found the easiest to use, Red Hat I got used to over a period of time and SuSE I have found is the perfect middle ground between the 2. Although, having said that, they all found and could use all my hardware.

There are sites which will provide download versions on cd for the price of a few dollars or pounds. Try www.cheeplinux.com if you are in the UK.

I actually live in Australia and don't have a credit card, so the site unfortunately won't be of much use to me. Thanks for trying though.

I've just spotted a lycoris rpm for gaim on their site, but it's version 0.59 so it most definitely won't run with the msn servers anymore
