Looking for Tablet PC software, and Tablet PC functionality. Screenclips, TIP..etc
he basic digitizer functions (moving the cursor, left click, right click, pressure sensitivity) worked with a modification of xorg.conf.
I uncommented all the things that say uncomment if you have a wacom tablet
And I added this to the wacom input device section
# Added for pressure
Option "PressCurve" "50,0,100,50"
# Added for rightclick
Option "Button1" "1"
Option "Button2" "3"
I'm interested in getting more info on some kind of on screen keyboard, how to make screen rotation work, and a screen clip program (where you can select specific areas of the screen to save as a jpg or whatnot).
I've played some with GOK. It has some issues I need to fix in order for it to work right. None of the buttons do anything right now. Probably something to do with that "device controlling GOK is also controlling system pointer" message I received when starting it.
Xournal is very nice note taking app. A couple other features and I could even say bye to onenote. (I never used synced recordings, and character recognition never worked in onenote due to my sloppy handwriting)
"Tablet PC" -- some defining features
I own two "tablet PC" laptops. Both are Lenovo Thinkpad X61 Tablet devices. Both run M$ Windows XP Professional Tablet Edition. I bought one from Lenovo. I bought the other from EmperorLinux as a "Raven Tablet" running Ubuntu Hardy (v8.04.3 LTS).
You ask for "Tablet Software". What do you mean by that? Exactly what qualifies a workstation as a "tablet PC"?
Here are some thoughts:
