Looking for Open Source "Technical Management" Software

Hi everybody,

I'm looking for some recommendations for a good Open Source "Technical Management" software.

I'm NOT sure if this is the correct term for what I am looking for, so I will explain a bit about what I would like to accomplish.

I have about 100 or so clients in which I manage all Information Technology aspects for.

I am currently maintaining a binder with all their specific information, but am looking for a solution to consolidate all this information, via Web Based utility.

Information like, LAN/WAN Specifics, Server OS, Usernames and Passwords, etc...

TIA

I dunno if any exist, but this would be a good project to write yourself. All you would need is apache, a database, and write the web pages in php. Depending on where you work and if you have interns, any upper level college intern should be able to whip this up for you .

That was my 2nd choice, to start a project of my own.

I just figured that if there was one out there already, I would support that project. And save a bit of time.

It's so small I don't think that there is a piece of software out there that does just this. You may find some, but it will probably be overkill and might use more system resources that its worth. All you need was one database table that held all the info. From there, you could create a web page to view/edit it fairly easily. I would think it should take no more than a week to create DB, write web page, etc. Then, it's just data entry.

When I was an intern, I would have loved to something like this. Too bad I didn't intern at you're work and you were trying to this 2-3 years ago

Spiceworks does asset management.

http://www.spiceworks.com/product/

It's a bit different than just a basic documentation tool though.. might be a bit outside your request.
