Looking for IDE for small languege using XFCE

First of all, I am running XFCE so gnome/KDE stuff is out. I am looking for a GTK/Java/whatever IDE that can run on a 600mhz laptop with 256 megabytes of RAM.

I would like it to have syntax highlighting that I can make because I use a rather small, but growing langeuge called FreeBASIC, a free cross-platform microsoft basic compatible basic languege.

I have used scite and jedit, but I think there are some more options out there. I am using scite right now.

Thanks a ton,
me.

Hi, I run Netbeans with the C++ plugin on my Thinkpad 366mhz.

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download-netbeans.html

Eclipse also has a c++ plugin, but I haven't used it yet..

These are both full featured IDEs.

Jim
