Looking for good IT repository

Hello all,

I reach out to you today, to tap your great and limitless wisdom.

I have walked into a new job, where there is no formalized documenation repository. How-to documents and Visios and licenses, et al, are scattered about a filesystem with no clear index.

Can anyone suggest a Simple, Free, documentation repository that would work for an IT team?

Requirements:
- Simple
- Not a wiki
- Free
- Easy to import and sort existing documentation
- Not a programmer based repo (svn, cvs, git)

Thanks all!

We use Google Sites. Its free, simple (wysiwyg), and not necessarily a wiki. One thing I really like about it is that the ability to receive immediate email notifications about any new/modified site entries along with the actual new/modified change. If something was modified it, the email notification will display/highlight the changes.

Dropbox allows shared folders and is fairly easy to build up more than 2GB of storage if working in a group. Works in most Operating systems.

There are also other services like this (box.net, google drive, etc), but I don't know what collaboration is like in it.
