Looking for File Manager...
 

I'm looking for a decent file manager to use with XFCE4.2 and Gnome since I find Nautilus horribly slow.
I could just use Konqueror as I do with but since my kde theme is all dark blue and my Gnome and xfce themes are all bright and colourful it looks crap (I know it shouldn't matter but it does).
Ideally I would like something dual-paned in the style of Konqueror or Xplorer2 on Windows or failing that something in the style of Nautilus but lighter and faster.
I definately don't want the commander style such as Krusader.

I've tried rox and xffm and dislike them both.
I've seen a few apps that seem to fit the bill but I'm having problems with them -
GFileRunner - I've downloaded it but I get this error on ./configure -
configure: error: Could not find the gnomeConf.sh file that is generated by gnome-libs install
the only gnome-libs package I can find is gnome-libs-data, which I already have installed.
Velocity/gnome-velocity - Apparently this is gfilerunner under a different name. I've been searching on google but cannot find anywhere I can download it from.
Thunar - Same as velocity, I can't find anywhere to download it.

Finally, at the moment I'm trying Claw4, which is quick and simple but I can't seem to do anything with it - there is a favourites sidebar but I can't work out how to add anything to it and also it won't save the window state/size. Does anyone have any info on this?

So if anyone can help me with any of the above (particularly .deb packages) I'd be most grateful.

I very much like evidence from the Enlightenment Foundation. Its part of E17 which is still in CVS, but it seems to work fine as a standalone in other wm/desktops.

Ok, I found that krusader is good - but uses qt and kde libs
I opted for xfe (make sure you get FOX too) and it works really well, reminds me of windows explorer. -Bill
