Looking for an open source solution to web site building

Hello Forum,

I've become reliant on Net Objects Fusion for building and maintaining my web site. NOF is still only offered as a windows app and it is the only reason I have to keep Windows installed.

Can anyone propose a comparable application (preferably open source) that will run in Linux?

Thanks for ideas
Reg

Google "Kompozer", may be installed on your system? Lots of tutorials and download pages for it. Never used it myself so I don't have any additional information.

Many of the word processing apps can save in html. Not sure on how advanced you want to go but OpenOffice can build a simple and attractive web page.

Komposer might be used also to test the quality of the web page.

try NVU

never used it, but a fast google search "FOSS equivalent to dreamweaver" and that is what i came up with. hope that helps.

A few more open source web site apps are bluefish, amaya, and screem.
