Good evening/morning,
I've been at this a while, lol. My problem started with an install of the ut2004demo from the ut website. After a few problems with the initial run, I ultimately determined that I needed a fresh install of the game. By default, the game was installed in /usr/local/games/ut2004demo, with a shell script "uninstall" in the ut2004demo directory. After running the script, it said i didn't have a suitable uninstaller. Investigation showed that I needed the loki_setup package (which emerge didn't have). Now for the real trouble...
I was able to successfully check out the loki_setup tools from its default website ( w w w. i c c u l u s . o r g / loki_setup). loki_setupdb compiled just fine. When I tried to compile loki_setup, it gave me the following error when I typed "make" (irrelevant portions left out):
Code:
gcc -fsigned-char -funroll-loops -Wall -g -O2 -I. -D_REENTRANT -I/home/joe/Desktop/Downloads/loki_setup/../loki_setupdb -I/usr/include/gnome-xml -I/usr/include/gtk-1.2 -I/usr/include/glib-1.2 -I/usr/lib/glib/include -DENABLE_DIALOG -DZIP_SUPPORT -DUZ2_SUPPORT -I/usr/X11R6/include -I/usr/local/include -DSTUB_UI -DSETUP_VERSION_MAJOR=1 -DSETUP_VERSION_MINOR=6 -DSETUP_VERSION_RELEASE=4 -DSETUP_VERSION=\"1.6.4\" -DSU_PATH=\"/bin/su\" -DMOUNT_PATH=\"/bin/mount\" -DUMOUNT_PATH=\"/bin/umount\" -DDATADIR=\".\" -DLOCALEDIR=\"locale\" -DLOKI_PREFIX=\"loki\" -c -o gtk_ui.o gtk_ui.c
gtk_ui.c:94:25: glade/glade.h: No such file or directory
So ultimately what I need to do, is somehow force gcc to recognize where my glade 2.5.1 (most recent at the time of writing) is located: /usr/local/include/glade/glade.h. Right now I'm exploring a few different avenues, and I have tried CPATH="/usr/local/include/glade" make, to no avail. I'm sure it's something as simple as a different environment variable, so any and all help is appreciated!
Cheers,
Joe
P.S.: if any of you are familiar with how to manually uninstall ut2004demo, i'm open to that too. I'm worried if I use a simple "locate" command i'll miss some sort of setting in a configuration file o_0.
