logo creator software

i'm looking for a software that is compatible with my redhat 9.0 and will allow me to create some logos.

do you know any resources?.

try to use Gimp?
if your looking for a 3d program.. try installing Softimage|XSI for linux

with gimp, can i create logo with jpg,png and gif extension?

You can...for icons I think it takes something more then just saving a png but I don't know what...all I know is slackware won't use the pngs I created as icons.

On another note, I thought the title said lego creator software, got my spirits up and all....meanie.

well go to http://gimp.org and look at the tutorial then. Not sure what you mean by actually "creating" a png... you just choose the file type you want...
