Login to NT domain?
 

I'm using Slackware 9.0 with Samba 2.2.8 and I'd like login to an NT domain with this system, problem is I have no idea how. I figure it should be possible, and I've looked into Kerberos, but that doesn't seem like it's quite the right tool for the job.

That's not exactly what I want to do. I'd like to, if it's possible, set things up so that when I'm presented with a login prompt on boot I can login with my domain user and password.

Make a script that runs when you login, that will mount the shares that you want under the username name that yo want.

That's already been done. I'd like to get full access to all of the domain resources.

What do you mean full resources?

There are lot's and lot's of computers on the network I'm trying to access, so it's pretty impractical for me to mount drives on every single computer I need access to on boot. So, it'd be nice if I could log into the domain and have access to all of the drives that are shared on the network.

Is it a 2000/2003 server? If so you could use rpd client and connect remotely using Windows terminal services. Also you could use gmoneba, it lets you browse network clients shared drives. There is also Lisa or soemthing that you can use in KDE. With all you can store an admin name and password and it should browse witout a prolem. I have never done this in a NT domain enviorment though.
