Locking GNOME session


is there a way to lock the GNOME session without logging out. for security reasons, i don't every body to play with my e-mail client if i stepped out of the office for 2 minutes. but at the same time i don't want to log off every time i do that ... any help ???

i thought there was a command for this.. like 'gnome-lock' or 'xscreensaver-lock' or soemthing similar, i forget.. search around for that stuff.
