Local time zone must be set - zic

Hello!
if i type 'uname -a' i get:
Code:
Linux simone-nb 2.6.19 #22 Mon Jun 4 10:51:04 Local time zone must be set--see zic manu i686 unknown unknown GNU/Linux
Other applications (like Pidgin) tell me this when they have to print dates.

I've tried to 'ln -s /usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Rome /etc/localtime' but it doesn't work...

And what about zic? How do i use it?

Thanks!
