Loading Cisco VPN kernel Module

I just installed Cisco VPN Client version 4.6 but I'm having some problems:
Whatever I try to do with 'vpnclient' it tells me that:

Quote:
Could not attach to driver. Is kernel loaded?
The application was unable to communicate with the VPN sub-system.
when I do an 'lsmod | grep vpn' it returns no module. I therefore guess that the module is not loaded. I'm using SuSe 9.2 Pro with 2.6.8-24 kernel and I'm not sure if that kernel is supported by the Cisco vpn client, but in '/var/log/boot.msg' I actually get some VPN-related information. Can anyone help me?

Altenate solution

Using open-source (non cisco) client.
Which is better than Cisco linux client since the open-source one isn't a kernel module and
the open source one doesn't take over all traffic like the cisco one does.

Yes I did.
VPNC seems to work, but I haven't tried yet.
