Load dd backup of MBR via GRUB

Can I add an entry to GRUB that loads a backup of the MBR made via dd?

For instance, say I want my MBR to only have GRUB on it, so I install LILO, dd the MBR to the HD, uninstall LILO, install GRUB, and then add an entry to GRUB that will load the .bin MBR backup.

Any ideas?

No.
Instead of telling the world what the solution should be, why don't you describe what you'd like to achieve.

Lots of smart people cruise by, and might respond with a much simpler (and do-able) answer.
Normal chainloading comes to mind ...
