lnx4win HELP!?!?

Ok well i downloaded mandrake 8.2, decided i'd use lnx4win just to see what linux was all about.

Now this is where im getting confused and frustrated, in the manual it says just press F1 and then type 'lnx4win' but when i do that all i get is 'Could not find lnx4win'

I checked by Installation CD 1 (no lnx4win anywhere). Well i decided to look on the mandrake website for lnx4win, i actually found a download link for the image, but it was broken. Well anyway it looks like im gonna have to download the whole ISO again . Now i want to know when i've done this, what procedure do i install lnx4win...do i have to install something from within windows first or just press F1 at the start on the drake installation and type lnx4win. Any help would be appreciated, as im close to losing interest in drake altogether.

Welcome to LQ... er, whatever your name is

I've had a look on the CD and on their site, and the lnx4win thing doesn't look too promising. If you really need to do a partitionless install (one where everything resides in a huge file on your Windows partition), then I think you'll probably be best off looking elsewhere (distro wise). However, I would suggest that you seriously consider doing a proper install. It's not hard (even in expert mode), it's fun (well, installing is boring, but running it is fun) and it's certainly an experience.

Sorry...

Umm why don't you try Red Hat 6.2 i386 instead as RH6.2 i386 is 1 CD and comes with a thing just like lnx4win
