lms and erp problem


hi
i have erp and lms on my system together.lms uses mysql 3 and erp uses mysql 5.these two version cann't work together.when ever i want to run erp i have to stop mysql 3 and run mysql 5 and ...
how can i solve this prob?how can i change my mysql 3 without losing my data?
plz help me

Hi,
It sounds like the best option would be to migrate your data from the MySQL 3 database to the MySQL 5 one. I am not sure if both apps support version 5.

On the other hand, you probably can't run both at the same time since they are trying to open the same TCP port or socket file. If you reconfigure one to listen on a different port (or a different IP address if the server is multi-homed) you may be able to run them at the same time.
