The icon on the desktop doesnt, give an error, but when i run the command manually I get:

Offhand I cannot remember what device that refers to, but it's the type of error you get when you have a device in your /etc/X11/xorg.conf that doesn't exist, doesn't work, or doesn't have the proper driver loaded. Being LinuxMCE it may be looking for something like a tabletPC to use as the "Orbiter" control. Check that file for any devices that you don't have/use and comment them out to see if it "get's better".

Aside from all of that....

How do you like what you've seen so far? Can you tell us a bit about your hardware and what you plan to accomplish with the system once it's installed and setup? I've been dabbling with MythTV for quite some time and have always looked at pluto as quite an impressive idea but haven't taken steps toward actually utilizing all of it's features.
