We installed Red Hat Linux WS yesterday, then tried to compile and execute OpenGL/Glut programs we were previously very happy with using Linux 7.3. But glut was not included with the install - could not find glut.h, glut32.lib, glut32.dll. So we reinstalled absolutely everything with the hope that Glut would be installed. But NOOOO, it was not installed.

So:

1. do any of you experts/gurus out there in Linux-land know how to install
Glut?

2. why isn't Glut included with the install? We see OpenGL and glu, but no Glut.

install it the normal way... "rpm -Uvh /path/to/package.rpm"

as you want to compile glut programs, you will also neet glut-devel aswell as glut.

download glut and glut-devel for Redhat 7.3 from here.
